On the Tagus Estuary

An invitation to set Sail

The Marina Parque das Nações is in a prime location, next to the Tagus Estuary Nature Reserve, which is considered to be one of the ten most important estuary areas in Europe and  excellent for bird watching.

The river also leads us to towns like Seixal and Montijo where tradition and local pride reigns, or to Alcochete, a 16th century fishing village of moorish origin with a renowned nautical tradition, displaying several of its typical boats along its margins.

Vila franca is well known for its bullfighting, famous festivities and gastronomy.
