Marina Parque das Nações aims to make Sailing available to everyone through its social solidarity projects, such as Accessible Sailing (Vela para Todos) and Senior Sailing (vela +). Marina Parque das Nações is present in this event organised by Seawoman, included in the National Program of Sports for Everyone.
This event named Vela+Cultura will be held on June 8th (Day of the Oceans) at Marina Parque das Nações and it will be open to anyone with more than 55 years.
During this day we will also be celebrating the 10th of June: Camões, Portugal and Communities’ Day (Dia de Camões, de Portugal e das Comunidades).
During this open day the public may try out for several activities such as: Sailing, outdoor classes, check up and workshops related with cultural nautical and environmental subjects.
This event is part of the Vela+ project that aims to stimulate the physical activity of senior population (55+ years old), using Sailing as a tool.
