Lisbon was the fifth European city visited by the Sailboat Hulda, a centenarian sailboat that with the support of the European Union, sails all over Europe, stopping at a few ports, to present the work of the artist Ilhan Koman (Erdine 1921 – Stockholm 1986).

During a long period, this sailboat was not only the atelier as well the home, of this artist and science performer.

Promoted by the Knowledge Pavilion, this exposition brought a large number of visitors to the Marina Parque das Nações, and gave the opportunity for art and science students to interactively present their works

The “Hulda Festival” started in March of 2009, and it will end in November of 2010, having, by then, crossed Stockholm, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Bordeaux, Lisbon, Barcelona, Naples, Valetta, Thessaloniki and Istanbul.
